A new home page, and the learner app redesigned

Released between 14 and 16 October.

From a document to a ready team

The home page now follows a document from upload to a team that is ready: the hero, the four layers of the platform, the pipeline, the learning loop, adaptivity, how it works for startups, enterprises and universities, and an FAQ. Hovering, focusing or tapping an agent shows what it does, what it hands over and the tools it uses. A section called From the Gulf to the world lights a map outwards from Riyadh: the Gulf states, then the Arab states of the Middle East and North Africa, then the world.

Nine marketing pages on one structure

/business, /academia, /agencies, /creators, /personal, /developers, /ai, /company and /contact are rebuilt on the home page’s structure: a hero with a live product demo, three steps, the page’s own sections, an FAQ and a close. Each page loads its own trimmed stylesheet, about 40 KB instead of 110 KB. Figures that could not be sourced were taken out. The community pages move onto the same shell.

The learner app, redrawn

Every learner screen is redrawn on one palette: ink for structure, green for progress, teal for skills, and colours of their own for streaks and anything urgent. That covers Today, Discover, paths, the lesson player and exams, the library, progress, goals, notes, community, chat, achievements, profile, settings, onboarding and sign-in, in light and dark. Paths show a stage track that scales to long paths, and the trophy room draws each badge as a medal, the same one admins design. Every feature was kept; only placeholder data was dropped.

Chat gets its own icon

Chat moves onto the rail with an unread badge, and Notifications leaves it, since the bell in the header already opens them. Today shows how your cohort rank moved and which replies are waiting for you, and the chat inbox can filter to the threads that need an answer.

• The exam runner announces changes to screen readers and works from the keyboard, and the player’s media tabs take the arrow keys.
• Each module shows how many community discussions it has.
• Comment notifications name the person who replied.

Changed

• Leaderboards list only your organization’s learners, rank by active membership and show each learner’s rank change.
• Covers use a contour pattern drawn from the fkra mark, with a rotation control.
• The favicon, app icon and search-result logo use the brand-kit app icon.
• On phones, the navigation bar opens out of the logo as you scroll.

Fixed

• Older fill-in-the-blank questions sent their accepted answers to the learner’s browser.
• The language toggle’s tooltip was indigo. It is ink now.

Removed

• The previous home page and its A/B test.
