Path Studio replaces the six-tab path page

Path Studio is the new admin page for a learning path. It replaces six tabs with three panes.

Three panes and four lenses

The outline sits on the left, the work in the middle and a dock on the right. The middle pane switches between four lenses: Sequence, Board, Map and Analysis. Sequence lists the modules in order, with a monochrome icon for each module type and a minimap. Board groups them by stage, category, type or status. Map shows how modules depend on each other, or the concept graph. The dock shows whether the path is ready to publish, what it awards, and the details of the selected module.

Analysis that points at positions

The Analysis lens checks the path against four rules and reports where each one breaks: a long run of modules with no assessment, a run of readings with no activity, flat cognitive demand, and a stage with too many modules. On one reference path it found 31 modules with no assessment at positions 4 to 34, and six readings in a row at 18 to 23. “Go there” highlights the range in the sequence. “Fix” tints it amber and places insert slots at the spacing the rule asks for.

One engine for both canvases

The learner’s path canvas now runs on the Knowledge Hub’s engine. It opens on rings around a “You” marker, one ring for each step from what you have finished, with seven arrangements and a minimap. Zoomed out, it shows one bubble per stage with done and total counts. It draws all 272 modules of a large path, where the first attempt managed 60 to 81.

Today, redesigned

The Today tab leads with your week: a seven-day chart, the day you met your goal, and the change against last week. One strip holds four readings (modules, points, streak and active paths), and skill mastery and cognitive balance share one radar style. The goals card shows each goal’s progress against its target and its due date.

• Board and Map lenses, markers for what a path awards, a sequence minimap, and a publishing sheet in Path Studio.
• Four new arrangements on the Knowledge Hub (layered and tree, each downward or rightward), for seven in all.

Changed

• Module types in the sequence use 27 monochrome icons instead of 27 colours.

Fixed

• [server] A learner’s enrollments leave out unpublished paths. My library used to count them, and their cards had no title and a Resume link that returned 404.
• A rejected layout no longer leaves the canvas toolbar spinning.

Removed

• The weekly-goal ring and the empty “This week” card on Today.
